Grey seals @ Donna nook – December & January 2010 – 1 day

Donna Nook holds one of the most accessible colonies of Grey seals in the UK, and with over 3000 adults and countless newborn pups photographic opportunities are boundless. Whether it be mothers suckling their newborn pups or last years testosterone fuelled males sparring in the surf, we are confident that you will capture some great images, and of course we will be on hand to provide you with expert tuition over the course of the day to enable you to capture the true essence of these magnificent creatures.
Orchids of Kent – 1 day
£75.00 per person / £120.00 per couple
Orchids are a Kent speciality. Nowhere in the UK are they more diverse and abundant. Being heavily wooded and with some superb tracts of herb-rich chalk downland, Kent is the number one destination for Orchid Photography. Several national rarities are found nowhere else and other than a few ‘stragglers’ in a handful of other counties the elegant Lady Orchid is unique to Kent, with some colonies holding 100s of individuals! Macro photography will be the order of the day and in order to capture the Orchids in all their glory you will be spending most of the day on your knees! A *tripod is a must for this workshop as a steady hand is not normally good enough to obtain that sharp, well-composed image.

Bluebells – 1 day
£75.00 per person / £120.00 per couple
A photographic cliché they may be, but no one can deny bluebells are a magical sight during Spring.
Photographing in a woodland can pose many problems, as inevitably the resultant image will be ‘contrasty’ and have obvious colour casts.
We will advise you how to reduce these problems so that your post editing time is kept to a minimum. Whether it’s a wide angle shot to capture the woodland in all its glory, or a telephoto crop of wider a vista, we will provide you with our knowledge to make that image special.

Bluebells – ½ day
£50.00 per person / £85.00 per couple
The best time to get a truly stunning image of these colourful chaps is first thing in the morning. To arrive in a woodland before sunrise and watch the vista change as the first shafts of sunlight break through the canopy, is a truly magical time of day. Our half day bluebell experience will ensure that you leave us safe in the knowledge that whilst everyone is still tucked up under their duvets you have taken a picture that you can be proud of.

Wood Anemones & Wild Garlic – 1 day
£75.00 per person / £120.00 per couple
As with Bluebells, these spring arrivals can provide a mass of colour not to be missed. The delicate almost translucent Wood Anemone, so fragile in it’s form and the more robust, pungent Wild Garlic also known as "Bear Garlic" due to the fact that Brown Bears love to eat this! Well, we can’t promise you any bears on our workshop but Wood Anemones and Wild Garlic will be in abundance.
